주왕산은 경상북도 청송군 부동면에 위치한 해발 720m의 산으로 기암이 병풍처럼 둘려져 한폭의 동양화라 표현할만 하다. 한때 석병산이라고 불리던 이 산에 후주천왕이 기거했다하여 주왕산이라고 이름을 고쳤다 한다. 대흥사 등 유서깊은 사찰이 3개 있을 뿐 아니라 많은 폭포가 있어 그 경관을 자랑한다. 소나무 숲이 대부분이며 수달래, 회양목, 산작약 등이 생육한다. 주산연못에 잠긴 버들과 수림은 태고의 신비를 머금은 체 많은 철새의 안식처가 되기도 한다.

(Mt.) Juwangsan, 720m high above the sea level is located in Budong-myeon, Cheongsong-gun in the Gyeongsangbuk-do . This mountain is surrounded by the imcomparably shaped rocks so that its scenic landscape looks like a oriental paintings picturing the scenic nature. Once called as (Mt. )Eokpyuksan, its name was changed into (Mt. )Chuwangsan since it was said that king named
Hujuchunwang had stayed at this mountain. With three old historic temples including Taehungsa(temple), many waterfalls enhance the overall scenery. While pine forests are dominant, there are various species including Korean azalea, Box tree, Paeonia obovata in this mountain. Londulosa willows and forest alongside the Chusan lake, hidding the ancient mystery, have provided a shetter for many kinds of migratory birds.
